Holland & Barrett Folic Acid and Vitamin D3 Tablets provide essential nutritional support during conception and pregnancy. Our body uses folate to produce new cells, while vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, muscle function and the immune system.
Folic acid is recommended before and during pregnancy; NHS guidance also states that if you are pregnant or breastfeeding you should take a daily vitamin D supplement of 10 μg.
Folic acid is the supplement form of a B vitamin called folate that our bodies use to make new cells. This vitamin works hard to support the rapid cell growth that occurs during early tissue and organ development in the first weeks of pregnancy.
Supplementary folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus.
How to Use / Warning
Take one (1) tablet daily, preferably with food. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
